The American colonizers also contribute heavily on the modern-day Filipinos. The lifestyle and the preference for American English and media among the current Filipino generation are obviously practised. So, western travellers and tourists will not feel much difference and would probably not be isolated since the locals understand and speak English and are well-acquainted with practices of the Western culture.

people become homeless when muddy water and boulders crashed the village. Red Cross said 100 people had been reported missing in the towns of Daraga, Sto. Domingo and Legazpi City. in Sto Domingo Albay, reported at least 26 people were killed in the mud flow that hit Basud village and least 82

people in these areas were trapped on top of the roofs in the wake of the devastation brought about by Reming. It said on the news that seven or eight villages had been hit by the wet lava flows that rumbled down Mayon’s slopes for three hours. this picture said before the mudflow have 40 houses on it, but it looks like there is nothing present on that place.

Donsol - The whale Shark Capital of the world

 

Donsol is originally called Donsolan from the Bicol term “anvil”. The place is hilly favoring 3 of its top industry the copra, rice culture and countless variety of sea creature. Fishing is the native major occupation. Their patron is St. Joseph.Donsol become popular because of whale shark or locally called as “butanding ” . considered as the world largest fish.The friendly giants arrive from November until end of may, where the sea of donsol is at its calmest and clearest.

 

The whale shark was featured in 2004 issue of Time Magazine as the “Best Animal Encounter in Asia”.The local Government of Sorsogon, the local department of tourism (DOT) office, and professional divers have established guidelines to protect the sharks.The females that are seen are generally large mature adults in the 7m ~ 9m range.

Majestic Mount Mayon in Albay Philippines

The perfect place for me, even though thypoon always pass by. And Experience natural disaster,but what i like the place is the nature beauty. the air are so fresh, and when you look around all you can see is rice field and coconut tree. Albayano’s main source of living is handicraft, farming, and raising animals. it is really a countryside life. But it is also popular because of their own pride Mt. Mayon. It is a female Mountain could by the albayano’s as ‘daragang magayon’ (Beautiful lady). See

How To get There :

There are two ways to reach Albay , by land and by air

By Land :

Take the bus - there are hundreds of bus travel back and forth from manila to any point of bicol region. The terminals are located at the Araneta Center in Cubao Quezon City, in Pasay City -Near Taft MRT Station and in Ermita,
Manila near the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

By Air

You can reached Albay by plane through the Legazpi airport.
It is served by Philippine Airlines, flying daily manila - Legazpi and vice versa.
The approach to Legazpi airport commands a bird’s eye view of the majestic Mayon Volcano-Albay’s pride.

I’l give you some tips take the seat nearest the window on the forward section of the aircraft
the wings can get in the way of your view.
